REO Presents Study on the July Uprising at the 12th International Conference on Psychiatry

The Research & Evaluation Office (REO) was proud to present its latest paper at the 12th International Conference on Psychiatry (ICP 2025), organized by the Bangladesh Association of Psychiatrists in Dhaka. The study was presented by Dr. Md Masudul Haque, Country Representative of Bangladesh.

The study, “Revolution’s Aftermath: Population-Based Cross-Sectional Study to Understand the Intergenerational Mental Health and Wellbeing Following the 2024 Student-Led Uprising,” examines how the July Uprising has shaped the mental health and wellbeing of people across different generations in Bangladesh.

Understanding the psychological aftermath of political upheaval is essential for building responsive, evidence-based mental health support. This work reflects REO’s commitment to rigorous, locally grounded research.

We extend our sincere thanks to all REO members, and especially to the study’s Principal Investigator, for their dedication and leadership.
