he Research & Evaluation Office (REO) presented its research poster, “Readiness of Health Facilities to Detect and Manage Hypoxaemia among Rohingya Refugees in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh,” at the Bangladesh Oxygen Summit 2026.
The study examines how prepared healthcare facilities serving Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar are to provide medical oxygen. It highlights the importance of early detection and effective management of hypoxaemia, a condition that can be life-threatening when it goes unrecognised or untreated, particularly in humanitarian settings.
By assessing facility readiness, this work aims to inform practical improvements in oxygen access and care for one of the world’s most vulnerable populations.
We congratulate our researcher for representing REO at the summit.
